Services and their purpose

Aluminum Capping

Formed aluminum capping covers suitable exterior trim with a shaped metal finish. Around windows, doors and roof edges, it can create a consistent appearance while reducing the amount of exposed trim that needs repainting.

Concrete Installation and Repair

How exterior components work together

Siding is only one part of a wall assembly. Flashing, drainage, openings and the condition of the underlying material influence how water leaves the wall. Covering damaged trim with metal does not correct the cause of decay. Window and door replacement also needs to account for the opening and its connection to adjacent cladding.

For decks, interlock and concrete, the visible finish is only part of the project. Supporting structure or base preparation, drainage and transitions affect the result. Material selection should be compared with installation requirements and site conditions, rather than a single promised lifespan.

Terms explained

Soffit: The underside of a roof overhang. Ventilated products can form part of an attic ventilation system; available airflow depends on the complete assembly.
Fascia: The board or facing at the roof edge, commonly behind the gutter. A metal cover does not make an already damaged substrate sound.
Capping: Shaped metal covering for exterior trim. Its connections and drainage details matter as much as the exposed finish.
Board and batten: A siding appearance using wider vertical sections with narrower strips over joints, or panels that reproduce that profile.
Fibre-cement siding: Cladding made with cement and reinforcing fibres. Product-specific installation, maintenance and warranty documents are more useful than an assumed universal lifespan.
Interlock: Paving assembled from individual interlocking units. Base preparation, drainage and edge restraint influence the completed surface.

Common questions

Does seamless eavestrough mean there are no joints?

No. Long gutter runs can be formed continuously, but the complete system still has ends, corners, outlets and connections. Those details need appropriate assembly and maintenance. Seamless describes the run; it is not a guarantee against every leak.

Is a manufacturer warranty the same as service life?

No. A warranty sets out coverage, conditions and exclusions for a product. It does not establish how long every installation will last, and it is distinct from any installer workmanship agreement. Compare the particular product documents and installation instructions.

Can aluminum capping fix rotten window trim?

Capping provides an exterior cover; it does not restore weakened material underneath. The substrate and source of moisture need to be assessed so the work does not simply conceal a continuing problem.
