Fiberglass doors can be manufactured with wood grain texture and are available in a wide range of stained finishes that convincingly mimic wood. They don't warp, rot, or dent like steel or wood, require minimal maintenance, and hold up in Ontario's temperature extremes better than solid wood. Fiberglass is the premium choice for homeowners who want wood appearance without wood maintenance.

Door glass options affect both light admission and thermal performance. Solid doors maximize energy performance but reduce the natural light entering the entry hall. Glass inserts provide light and visual interest but require that the glass itself be high-performance — double or triple-pane with low-e coating.
